THE RING OF FIRE on the SKY
Oct 16, 2023
Awaiting last weekend's solar eclipse, I set up a camp on the edge of a cliff, overlooking the majestic Monument Valley.
The sun, a masterful painter, transformed the monumental walls into a brilliant canvas of golden and orange-red hues.
Time is getting ready for a spectacular solar eclipse show that many native believed it was a sacred event created by mystery forces. Yet, ancient civilizations tracked solar eclipses and their calculations of the infinite dates of upcoming eclipses were done without the benefit of today’s scientific equipment.
Years ago, I was spiritually adopted by Medicine Woman from one of the indigenous tribes. I was graciously welcomed to Native teachings and ceremonies.
A profound truth took shape in my words:
"The more humble you become in life, the more wonders you are granted, because your heart opens and your mind listens.
The night before this solar eclipse over the native land, the sky blazed with fiery reds. As nature settled into dusk, the sky painted its story.
Nature pays close attention, tuning into our thoughts and emotions, mirroring our vibes and actions.
As I explored the area, strolling along the cliff's edge, enveloped in the stillness and tranquility, I took my time, allowing my thoughts to settle. It was then that I sensed I was not alone:
THE DAY OF the MYSTERY EMBRACE
A solar eclipse takes place in the midst of a regular day, where life continues its usual rhythm. A partial solar eclipse can, at times, go unnoticed by those preoccupied with worldly matters.
On that day of October 2023 solar eclipse commenced with a radiant smile. The moon gracefully veiled the sun from above, seeming to assure the world that all would be well. The smile, broad and joyous, lingered in the sky.
As the eclipse progressed, its grin slowly narrowed. It evolved into a radiant necklace of sunlight, or perhaps a triumphant wreath adorning the neck of those partaking in this sublime spectacle, undergoing a metamorphosis from shadow to brilliance.
As the time became more still, as well as the air, and the silence was profound. the eclipse opened up as an astronomical spectacle, shaping a diamond-like sparkling wedding ring in the sky. It symbolized the heavenly sacred union between woman and man, the sun and the moon, in their embrace of love - the Ring of Fire. The embrace lasted for little more than 5 minutes.
To witness this on Navajo-Dine land was a breathtaking experience.
When the heavenly embrace was happening in the sky, here was a 360-degree panorama of vast open space, pure air, and deep silence.
The world fell silent, and the air stood still.
The Sun governs death, the Moon, birth. Eclipses mark transitions, shedding the past and releasing spiritual and emotional burdens.
There is a sacred interval before the new is born. It is a special time, a confluence of darkness and light. A time to simply be with yourself. A time to delve deep into your dark and safe space, into the silence and stillness of the soul, to reveal your light.
In the quiet of your inner realm, you can let go of any uselessness and unnecessariness. Release fear, anger, greed, and ego. Allow yourself to just be, slowly revealing who you truly are.
Then, the new is born.
This newness has always resided within you, though it may have been forgotten amidst the clamor of the external world.
Reconnecting with your original self, with your original nature, is the true essence of renewal.
In a world that perpetually urges action and pursuit of achievements, yet often neglects self-discovery, it is crucial to pause, to recharge, and to unearth what lies dormant within me - to uncover my authentic self.
By aligning with your true self and thereby connecting to the Higher Source of Light, you will be awarded by a profound sense of protection and guidance.
And much like the latter phase of the eclipse I beheld, where the sun and moon's embrace crafted an image of a luminous crown, you will don a crown of radiating best of the self.
When you navigate through hardship or business, or perhaps confusion, or fear, or sorrow envelops your heart and mind, pause.
Pause to protect your mind from more and more chaotic discomfort.
Retreat from the bustling world around you. Allow yourself time and space.
Observe your thoughts, let them flow by like distant stars and planets.
Become a detached observer.
Let your thoughts pass while you delve deeper, rediscovering your inner light.
Every morning, the rising sun brings a feeling of renewal and freshness.
Be like the sun, and always remember to radiate your light.
to your health, wealth and happiness
with Love and Light
