Hello Raw Yellow – Quick Cali Appetizer

food Feb 05, 2015

Quick and yummy, elegant and healthy. Cauliflower based yellow raw paste served on the raw crackers. Dill and broccoli flowers. I love Cali!

I was all about them, happy with the taste and look, running with the camera and taking shots, dancing and singing at the same time. Sunny Californian afternoon. And then I noticed that one or two of them where gone. What was going on? Any dwarfs around? I kind of had a feeling of being watched. “You are Maggy Moulach” – I heard. “A fairy lady who can do magic out of NOTTIN”. I was right. There are dwarfs. Especially when you have a Scottish neighbor, there must be a real Hob around. And he shows up whenever I make food. Living with the Hob in my backyard changed my life and threw it into the different dimension. I once asked him if he got underwear when he was wearing his traditional kilt. His answer ensured me of his original Hobby nature. “I am wearing freedom” – he said.

Well, this time he was wearing pants that kind of looked like dwarfy.

By the time he finished telling me the amazing legend of a fairy Maggy all yellow crackers were gone. “HELLO – were are my yellows?” – I thought. “Hello, can you please bring some more.” – he said by reading my mind.

We had a magical Californian afternoon biting on Cali crackers and sipping Cali best wine. I was amazed by the stories about the fairy Maggy. The legend goes that she helped in household doing magic and with her love vibrations she encouraged the hidden beauty to emerge out of ugly surface. She did that also when the inner beauty was not visible to somebody`s eyes blinded by ego or pride.

The legend remind that there will invariably be someone who loves each of us, no matter our appearance, and will avenge the injuries inflicted.

I felt in love in Maggy`s stories and the Hob loved the yellow crackers. The sunset was pouring orange over the blue sky. And when it changed the sky in red, it took all the red from our wine glasses.

The Hob has left leaving the echo of Maggy`s fairy life and some crumbs from the crackers. I heard his fence gate opening when I realized that his real name was Henry – what means ‘home ruler’ in Scottish. My dear Hob Henry is definitely the yard ruler in our neighborhood

Hmm, I didn’t write the recipe for the hello yellow. Or I did by telling you the story.
